About:Chinese Embassy in Ghana

Hello Sir,

I am being invited for a visit by a friend who is a Chinese and I therefore will like you to clarify the following issues:

First I will like to know if one still requires a hotel reservation when the person who invited you for the visit has arranged a private accommodation at his/her place of residence? And also how does one make the hotel reservation in China from Ghana all the same?

Secondly does one need an original invitation from an authorized Chinese travel agency when the visit is not for tourism but to visit a friend?

How much travelers check is appropriate for at least a 30day stay?

Thank you,

Sincerely

PS: please kindly reply as it is so important to me.

A hotel reservation is not required if you go to China to visit a Chinese friend, the original invitation from an authorized Chinese travel agency is not required, either.

However, your Chinese friend needs to send you an invitation letter together with the photocopy of his Chinese ID card or passport. Your friend can go to the local police station or Foreign Affairs Office to enquire the invitation letter.
