About:Chinese Consulate in Sydney

I am a Permenant Resident in Australia. My Chinese passport(G19683134) will be expired in 2011. Can I make it be extended in China Consulate Sydney? Or must I go back to Beijing? How can I renew my Chinese Passport with China Consulate here?
Looking forward a definite reply from your stuff.
Thanks for your consideration.

No,Ms.Wang, you need to apply for a new passport, Chinese embassy/consulates do not issue passport extension since 2007.
