About:Shenzhen Ferry

Hi,

I am planning to go to Shenzhen from Macao, and plan to stay at the hotel near Lou Hu Commercial Centre.

What is the convenient way and fastest way to go to Shenzhen from Macao?
Is there any direct boat? or should I go via Hongkong since my Hotel near Lou Hu.
If by boat, how far is it from the ferry terminal to Lou Hu border?
If via Hongkong, how long is the trip?

Besides, I am planning to get my Visa On Arrival once I arrive in Shenzhen.
I know Lou Hu border I can get VoA, but not sure about other place...

Thanks.

Since you stay at Luohu, I suggest you take ferry from Macau to China Ferry Terminal Hong Kong which is at Tsim Sha Tsui. Then take taxi to Hung Hom to take East Rail line to Lo Wu, pass through Luohu border, you will get into Shenzhen. The totally journey time of the ferry and the MTR may be around 2-2.5 hours.
Yes, you may get VOA at luohu border, but it may be a little hard. You'd better apply a Chinese Visa in advance.

The fastest way is taking Bus No. K204 from Jianzhe Road outside of Shenzhen railway station to Shekou port to take a ship to Macau. It takes about 40-60 minutes from luohu railway station to Shekou and costs CNY6. Then it takes another 1 hour to Macau by ship and costs CNY145.

By the way, you are free of visa to Shenzhen fror 15 days for sightseeing, visiting family members or other personal affairs if you are holding Singaporean passport.
