About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

My friend came to singapore before the CNY for a holiday and lost her Chinese Passport. She is from Shanghai and needs to return home for work. She has made a police report in Sinagpore for her lost passport. Will she have to apply for a new passport at the Chinese Embassy in Singapore? If yes how long does it take? She has also applied at ICA (Singapore) for an extension of her stay as she doesnt know how long the replacement will take or if she will be given an exit permit to leave singapore.
Please assist me with any information as my friend is worried.

Your friend can apply for a China Travel Document to return to Shanghai, China, it takes 4 working days, if she applies a new passport, it takes about one month. The below documents are required
1. one filled Chinese Passport/Travel Document/Home Return Certificate Application Form
2. The Statement of losing passport
3. three passport photos
4. Police Report and its copy
5. valid Singaporean visa and its copy
6. Photocopy of your lost passport if available, if it is not available, you should write the Issue Authority, Date, Place of passport on the Statement of losing passport
