About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

I am visiting my mom who is an English teacher in Seoul, I have been here for 2 weeks and I would like to go to China now to visit some of my friends there, and see some of the sights. I would like to get a 3 month or 6 month multiple entry visa. Is it possible for me to do that in Seoul? or will I have to go to Hong Kong?

No, Chinese embassy in Seoul requires ARC valid for more than 6 months if you want to apply China visa there. You can apply China visa in Hong Kong, it is easy for you.

It's the rule of China embassy in Seoul, Korean ARC can prove your legal status in South Korea and you need to live there for a long time, the temporary visitors to South Korea should apply for a China visa in their home country.

However, China consulate in Busan doesn't have this rule, you can use a visa agency designated by the Busan consulate to apply for a visa for you, many aliens get a China visa through this way
