About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

I'm writing from New York City. My boss who is an American citizen will be traveling to Singapore for business shortly. Depending on how his visit to Singapore goes, he may or may not need to travel from Singapore to China. Can an American citizen obtain a Chinese visa in Singapore, and if so how long does it take?

Non-Singapore citizens shall provide documents that entitle them to reside for an extended period of time in the SPR,WP,EP,STP,DP. Temporary visitors to Singapore should apply for a Chinese visa in their own country. Here I have to say, China visa is valid for 3 months in general, if he will not stay in Singapore for too long, he can apply for it in advance before departure.
