What's the best way to get to 共和 village in HeShan? I will be arriving by ferry from HK Int'l Airport to Zhongshan. Approximately how long will it take to get to 共和?

Can you recommend a place for a light meal or snack in Zhongshan that is within walking distance of the ferry, or do you recommend a different location? I am an overseas chinese.
