About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Hi I'm applying for a visa to China as a tourist - I will be there just for the weekend of Feb 24-28. I heard conflicting advice about how much money should ideally be in the bank account. One said 50K is enough, the other said 100K should be minimum. Also they said that passbook is no longer accepted and it should be Bank Certificate. Is this true?

As far as I know, if you apply for Chinese Tourist Visa(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/tourist.htm) in person, 50,000 pesos on your bank account is ok, if you apply for visa through a travel agency, there should be 300,000 pesos on your bank account. The original bank certificate with receipt or original passbook, updated within the month that you are applying is both Ok for visa application.
