About:China Visa Application in USA

Do I understand right, that you have to apply for Visa's in person now and can not get them through the mail?
I am hoping to go and live in China in the near future, I would appreciate any help you could give me.

You can apply for China visa in person, if you can't come, you can ask someone else or visa agency to submit visa application and pick up your visa on your behalf, mailed application is not accepted.
