About:Hunan Travel

Hi, I'm a bagpacker planning to visit Hunan alone in September for 3 weeks.

I arrive at Guangzhou and plan to travell by train or coach. I've been surfing a bit on the web and maps and plan to do Guangzhou-Zhangjiajie-Changsha-Hengyang-"Guilin"- or direcly Guangzhou. I'm used to move quite a lot and don't plan to spend much time in Guangzhou (except for the few necessary days at arrival and departure).

Is Guilin feasable? Should I change it for Fenghuang or do both, or not even one of them? I don't know China yet and can't judge the potential difficulties there. Any problems to find hotels without reservation? Any other suggestion is really welcome!

Thanks a lot.

Both Guilin(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/guilin.htm) and Fenghuang are worth visiting.
Since you will visit so many cities, I suggest you consider Memorable China Tours(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/tour/memorable/) as your reference to arrange your itinerary.
Generally, it is not difficult to find a China hotel without reservation except the peak tourism days.
