About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Hi,
I am a permanent resident of Australia[specialist Anesthetist]hoping to attend the Annual combined conference of Hong Kong and Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in HonKong in May 2011. Intended stay in Hong Kong is 10 days and I have my husband and two kids[aged 8 and 10]My nationality is Sri Lankan. Do I need visa to stay in Hong Kong ? and how can I obtainit for myself and my family?

Yes, you need a visa to enter Hong Kong, you can apply for Hong Kong visa through China embassy in Sri Lanka or send application directly to Immigration Department of Hong Kong, it takes about 4 weeks.
