About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Hello. My name is Kim and I intend on travelling to China from Okinawa, Japan with 4 Americans and myself - an Australian. We are military dependents living on a base in Okinawa and our mailing addresses are USA ones, not Japanese, even though we reside in Okinawa. What is the quickest way to mail our passports and visa applications in order to receive them ASAP? How long is the process? Should we use a Japanese address, or our American ones? and is there a difference in processing time for Americans versus Australians, or can we mail them together? If we use FedEx, is it possible to track? and if we provide the necessary envelopes, will they FedEx it back to us? We would like to go in the middle of February - do we have enough time? We all only speak English and have had a hard time trying to communicate with any of the embassies. Am I correct in assuming that as long as we mail a filled application, our passports and the money - it shouldn't be a problem? Also, I do not have a Japanese bank account, what is the easiest way for me to include the 4000 yen for my visa fee? Thanks ahead for the answers. ~ Kim

You are required to apply for China visas from Consulate General of China in Fukuoka. And you need submit applications in person or by others entrusted. Mail service is not available. Generally, the processing time is 4 working days. If they can not say English, you'd better bring with you a Chinese translator.
