About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

We are traveling from Korea to Thailand for a quick vacation and have a long layover in Shanghai. It is not necessary to have Thai Visa since we are staying less than 30 days, so we will not have one when we arrive in Shanghai. Is it possible to leave the airport during our layover with these circumstances? I have read that the flight ticket to the onward destination along with the visa to that destination is required. Does this still apply if the onward destination does not require a visa?

Thanks

Hi, if you hold the onward boarding pass, you have no need to apply a visa within 48 hours in Shanghai and you can go out of the airport.
