About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

To Whom It May Concern,

I am an Irish citizen who is currently residing in Melbourne, Australia on a 4 year working visa. I would like to enquire about the possibility of getting an immediate tourist visa for China. I am currently traveling around south east Asia, I am in Koh Samui in Thailiand at present . I have booked a flight from Hong Kong back to Melbourne on Jan 31st. However I would like to travel to Beijing for a few days, can you please advise me how I can apply for a Chinese tourist visa and if it possible to get one while in transit.

Please advise,

Yours Sincerely,
Riona Hanley

You can try to apply for Chinese tourist visa in Thailand, if the application is denied, then go to Hong Kong to apply for China visa. Generally speaking, it is not hard for Irish nationals to get a China visa in Hong Kong. You can also read Beijing Tour Packages(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/package/beijing.htm) as a reference to plan your travel to Beijing.
