About:Chinese Consulate in Sydney

I will be traveling to Pakistan with a transit of 2 hrs in Hong Kong and on my way back to Sydney will stay in Hong Kong for a leisure visit for 4 days. Do i need a transit visa? I read some where that a Pakistani passport holder doesn't require a transit visa if it's of less then 12 hrs or should i apply a double entry visit visa?? Moreover, today I went to apply for my Hong Kong visit visa but the lady at the counter didn't take my application as she said i haven't completed a sponsor application form. As i am going for a vacation to Hong kong with my husband i do not have any sponsor there. Tell me what i should do? and does it take 6 weeks for the visa to come? I need my passport before 5th of February as i will be traveling to Pakistan.

All nationals of Pakistan (except holders of Diplomatic and Official passports) are required to hold a valid visa for the HKSAR for whatever purpose (including those who are in transit and remain on the airside).

Therefore, you need to apply for a double-entry transit/visit visa to Hong Kong. Generally, the sponsor application form is not compulsory, but for Pakistanis, the visa rule becomes strict. You can try to submit application again or have to send the application to Hong Kong immigration department. There is no other option.
