We will be traveling from Vancouver on Air China and have a long layover (14 hrs) in Beijing. How can we obtain a visa at the airport so that we can go into the city for the day before carrying on to Bangkok. We'd love to have a tour of the Great Wall if at all possible. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You can try to apply for one day stay permit at the airport, but I can't sure that you can get it.
