About:Power Plugs / Sockets in China

I bought a small laptop working on google from China. The charger will not work when plugged into an converter plug and placed into my Australian outlet. Have tried another converter plug and still it will not work. I have been told about polarity. Is the Chinese power on a different plolarity?
What polarity should there be on the inside tip of the plug?

There may be polarity inside the tip of the plug, I think there may also be the voltage proplem, maybe you bough the computer from China, while bought the converter from your own country, then it will be a problem.
