About:China Customs Declaration

Me and my family are going to Guangzhou for Christmas 2010. I've heard that there are taxes for the iPhone 4 and I was wondering if they applied if the iPhone was just for myself (personal use). Do you only have to pay tax for items which aren't your personal items? Or taxes for everything including personal items?

According to the Shanghai custom, if the Iphone has been used, unpacked before you enter China Custom, and only one piece for each passenger, no need to pay tax.
