About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Hi,

I'm flying China Eastern airlines from Sydney to Shanghai Pudong on Jan 10th arrival time 19.20pm
I have booked to stay a night at the Ramada hotel right by the airport..
I will be departing from terminal 1 the next day at 12.00pm to go to London Heathrow.

I'm a UK passport holder...do I need some kind of visa to get out of the airport and on to the shuttle to the Ramada? If so what type? My stay is less than 48 hours.

Please help!
Thanks
Pete

It seems that UK passport holders are excluded from the 48-hours' visa exempting. But, as I know, some passengers with the same situation of you did leave the airport for nearby hotel. You'd better contact with the hotel and ask whether they have a special method to pick you up for the hotel without a transit visa. Otherwise, you'd better apply for a transit visa in advance or stay in the airport.
