Most cities in South China will no have snow at that time. You mean get around Shanghai or any other places.

You're welcome. Traffic is a big problem to get around during Chinese New Year, for hard to get train ticket and no discount at air ticket. As to the weather, no big difference in those period.

From Shanghai Weather(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/climate/shanghai.htm), I get for you that it is usually the coldest time during early February in Shanghai. It is still hard to say the exact weather then, I advise you check the weather 3-5 days ahead of your departure.

As for the attractions in Shanghai, I think the Bund(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/shanghai/bund.htm), Huangpu River(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/shanghai/huangpu.htm), Yuyuan Garden(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/shanghai/yuyuan_garden.htm) are must. Actually, you may choose your favorite ones from Shanghai Attractions(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/shanghai/).
