Will be in Chengdu for 5 days from 17 December. Please suggest places to go near or around Chengdu and suitable place( reasonably priced) to stay preferably near shopping areas.

Leshan, Emeishan and QIngcheng Mountain are all nice choices. There are bullet trains from Chengdu to Qingchengshan. That is very fast and comfortable to travel. Many options for your Chengdu tour(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/package/chengdu.htm) can been seen here. That would be helpful for a guidance. For shopping area, Chunxi Road is a business center with many shopping places. You may stay there. As to a resonable place to stay, I think Garden City Hotel, which is 4 star hotel but price is suitable. 44-88USD.
