About:Chinese Embassy in Peru

Dear Sir/Madam,
My wife, Marcie, and I will be travelling in South America for approx 2 months from late January - early April. We will then depart for London. On May 23rd 011 we are scheduled to commence a 29 day, guided, train trip from St. Petersburg thru to Beijing. On arrival in London - 5th April - will we have enough time to apply for and, hopefully receive, the necessary visas before we depart the UK in mid May for the train trip? Alternatively, can we apply for the visas while in Peru and make arrangements to be able to collect them while in London? We have both been to China before in October 07. Thank you for your time.

Kind Regards,
Graham Watkinson.

First of all, Chinese embassy in Peru possibly will not accept your visa application since you are temporary visitors there. Generally, China visa is valid for 3 months from the issue date, and you are required to apply for it in your home country. So, you may try to send back your passport and visa application to Australia when in a country where you plan to stay for long time.
