in front of the tomb, there are three animals statues. horse, tiger (i think)and mule. for some reasons which i forgot, the dog statue was destroyed by someone/somebody as he/they think yue fei did not have any loyalty (義). is that true?

I have heard of that saying either. It said that Yue fei was born in a farm family, but he once beat down the farmers' uprising when he became a general. So, they removed the dog stature which represent for personal loyalty. That is not mule but sheep I think. Tiget is usually supposed to be bravery.
