Harbin Early Winter November 2010

Saw the news reported on Harbin early winter shower.

How was the early November 2010 winter now ?

I will be visting Harbin in mid Dec 2010 and was wandering whats the cold temperature is like ? I come from Singapore and its a tropical hot country.

I have been to many cold winter countries before but not Harbin as its expected to be extremely cold.

What are the types of clothings, apparatus etc etc we need to look into and bring to Harbin. Where are the best shopping area and winter clothing shops found in Harbin.

Appreciate some kind advice from fellow travellers or local Harbin friends.
