About:Beijing Attractions

hi,
someone say to me that is better have a local guide to going around Beijing..is dangerous and difficult for Western people going around without a guide and speaking only english?

Not dangerous and if it is said diffilcult, I think it is because of the language. It will be better if you can have a local guide, but there are many individule tourist traveling alone.

Ms. Zorastration,

Is not dangerous at all, people are very friendly but they can't help you. Language is the problem to get around, taxi drivers don't speak any english. Public transportation is very cheap but they don't have instructions in english.
I was there in September and planning to go for a second time in the spring, not without a guide.
