About:Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles

I am visiting China for a short 4 day trip and tried to apply for a Visa and was rejected. I didn't understand why.
I have been living in U.S. for almost 30 years and am a citizen in U.S. even though I was born in Taiwan. I am not sure why
it is required to have a Chinese passport to get a Visa to China since I am no longer a citizen in Taiwan. I have all the other documents filled out and pictures ready. None of my family members or friends have this problem when they applied for Visa to China. Please help!

Thanks
Shy

I guess that your visa application is denied because you were born in Taiwan. Now, there is no other choice, just wait to submit visa application to a different visa officer.
