About:Shanghai Transportation

Hi
I am attending the Bauma exhibition fair at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC)2345 Longyang Road.

I would like to know where and how can i take a "dongche" from the expo centre to Hefei station? I need a very early morning train like 6am or so.

Where can i find the up to date train time schedule ?

Where can i buy the ticket? can i buy on line? where can i collect the ticket if i buy on line ?

where can i take the dongche from Hefei station to wuxi station? How long will it takes?

Tks

The earliest Dongche from Shanghai to Hefei is at 06:48 at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, you can take Subway Line 2 to Hongqiao Railway Station and take the train.

Train tickets are available on this website, you can search for timetable and also book ticket online at China Trains(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/) . There are Dongches from Hefei to Wuxi, you can take at Hefei Railway Station, it takes around 2.5 hours to reach Wuxi Railway Station.

thanks

I have checked out the china train online, but it only applies to china mainland which mean they can only deliver the train ticket within china. If that is so, how can i make the booking if i book online while i am still in singapore?

I also understand that there are a few type of seat available, which type of seat are most recommended for me if i am taking from hefei to wuxi? I need to have the ticket to be easily avaiable because of the tight appointment schedule i have.

do you know whether hotel such as Park view is able to help their guest to book the train ticket upon check in? or they can book for us in advance even before we reach shanghai?

Will it be too late if i only book the train ticket 1 day in advance before my actual departure date from hefei to wuxi station?

Hi, if you have already booked the hotel, you can ask them to deliver the train ticket to your hotel, thus when you arrive there you'll get the tickets at first time.

There are two kinds of seats on bullet trains, if you want if to be more comfortable, you can buy first class seat ticket, but the train only take 3-4 hours, I think a second class would be fine.

Some hotel would provide train ticket booking service but some would not, you'd better ask the hotel if they have this service.

I think book train ticket 3 days in advance would be better.
