About:Shanghai Travel

We are in the US right now and about to visit China and have some concerns with what we can bring

Questions:

1) My entire family has like 1 laptop each, they are all personal use and prices vary, will we need to pay taxes for that?
2) My wife has some expensive brand name bags, if she carries one into China will we get taxed on that?

Hi, if one of your valued things is worth over CNY5000, you need to declare it to the custom before check in. The part over CNY5000 may be taxed.
