I just wanted to say that I found a really clean and friendly little hotel called the "Home Hotel" in Dongfang Foshan....Rates are low, like 129Y pernight, and there is Internet and T.V. VERY clean rooms, although the Hotel is not new.
Give it a try, I am sure you'll like it and it close to shopping and good authentic Chinese restaurants. AND, KFC is a few doors up from it too!
