Hi,

I will be moving to China next month, first to Shanghai for 2-3 days and then to Chongqing. I am searching for the documents and the procedure to bring my cat with me. Can someone tell me about the process that needs to be followed to bring my cat to China. On many websites people say different things and now I am confused. Some people say that the quarantine period is 7 days, somebody says 23 days etc. My destination is Chongqing, not Shanghai then if the cat has to undergo for 7 or 10 or 23 days quarantine then does this means that I have to wait in Shanghai to finish that period?? Also apart from quarantine is there something else that needs to be taken care of?
Thanks
Devendra

Hi,The quarantine period is 45 days in China. If your travel time is within two months, you can hand in certain amount of caution money and accept the supervise of the Animal Inspection.

Hi Crystalring,
Thanks for your reply. But this quarantine will be where? Can it be at my home itself or have to put in some official place and how much money I have to spend for all this process?
Thanks
