I am an Australia citizenship and would like to fly Sydney - Kuala Lumpur via Guangzhou. Do I need any visa for the following options ?

1) fly Sydney - Kuala lumpur return, transit in Guangzhou (without leaving the airport during transit)
2) fly Sydney - Hong Kong - Kuala Lumpur return, transit in Guangzhou (without leaving the airport during transit). Stay in Hong Kong for approx. 1 week
3) fly Sydney - Guangzhou - Kuala Lumpur return, having a short stay at Guangzhou during one of the transit.

Thanks.

You don't need a visa for the transit in option 1, 2 if you hold onward flight ticket (have booked seats) and don't leave the airport for less than 24 hours transit, but you need a transit visa for your option 3 because you leave the airport.
