My family and I want to visit Chengdu during December. We enjoy the cold wheather so that is no problem, but we are looking for nature and are concerned everything will be closed. Are there any nature sites near Chengdu that we can see in December. We were considering a bvisit to the Big Budha and Emei mountain, can we go there in December and would it be OK?

Hi Richard, except Jiuzhai valley and Huanglong scenic spots will be closed due to snow in winter, the other sites will be open for visit as usual, although it's cold. Once you are in Chengdu, don't miss the panda base there, which is really one of Chinese highlights. Enjoy your trip.
