About:Huanglong National Scenic Reserve

Hi,

I will be visiting Huanglong and Jiuzhaigou on Oct 31, 2010. I wonder what would the weather be then especially at Huanglong. Probably, I will be at the foothill by 0900 hours. Do I need a reasonable thick windbreaker or just a thick jacket. How many kilometer will be the climb to the mountain top and estimated time for a normal person?

My visit will be whole day and is there any food stall/restrauant at the summit or do I need to pack some food?

Looking forward your reply.

Khoo

It's late autumn and early winter at that time. The temp difference is very large, hot in the day time and cold at night. The windbreaker would be better. In some years, it even snows there that time period. people usually spend 3-4 hours at Huanglong. Food is only available at the front gate, so pack some on your own.
