About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

My wife is planning to visit her parents in China, along with our daughter (7 months) in Jan 2011. My wife and daughter both hold US and British Passports. Her parents are living in Shenzen province, and Hong Kong is the nearest port of entry to get to Shenzen. Currently my wife is living with me in kazakhstan (where I work). All three of us will be going to visit my parents in Pakistan, and from there my wife and child will go on to visit her parents. I understand from the above that they will get a visa on arrival in Hong Kong. However, what is not clear is whether they then require another visa to go to Shenzen province? And if so, then will that visa be obtainavble in Hong Kong? or is it better to arrange this beforehand? If better to arrange beforehand, then should she apply from Kazakhstan or Pakistan or will she have to go back to london to get the visa? Thanks for your help on this rather complex matter. best Imraan

Your wife and daughter need a visa to enter Shenzhen, they can have a try to apply for China visa from Kazakhstan, if the application is denied, then apply for it from Pakistan, it is also possible for them to apply for China visa in Hong Kong.
