Da jia hao!I have booked tickets to arrive in Changsha on 1 November, leaving on the 13th.I am hoping someone can give me a long-range prediction of the weather to expect.Or at least the extremes for that time of year.Last time (in March), I froze the first day, but had a lovely day after that before going to Zhang Jia Jie.This time I plan on staying in Changsha, doing a few day trips as well.Although a holiday, any contacts or hints with a view to work there would also be greatly appreciated (an option only right now) I can supply details if required.

Take a jacket with you. Cool at the start of November muight get some rain. Lots of pollution!Yuelu Mountain, Martyns Park, The Aqua centre, the sports centre Walers street,Massage parlours very cheap, Night markets, great bargains.Hotels Da Cheng, close to the CBD walking distance and The Gold Source both got great restaurants.check out Trax2.com for Chnagsha tours places and  Street map EnjoyAlan

Thanks for that, Alan. I plan on staying at Kairui Da Jiudian where I have stayed before. I have been to Martyrs' Peak and the zoo too. I certainly hope to climb Yuelu Shan, hopefully not alone! And have another look at the Academy.Not a great sportsperson (despite being a Kiwi!) but those markets sound fun! And the walk street.I'll go check out Trax2 now.

Wonderful people.Best beer in the world Tsing Tao plenty of it in Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiantan! feichang hao!Famous dish huanese is spicy fish in boiling oil! It is delicious!I always travel end of october to November to Chnagsha, Beijing and Shanghai for my holiday and the weather is magic. (well it has been so far)RegardsAlan
