About:China Transit Visa

This question relates to how many times I can enter China on a visa and what counts as 'entry'. I wish to change planes at Kunming airport coming from Myanmar en route to Vietnam. This is 5 hour stop over.
Three weeks later I wish to arrive in Beijing, stay for 3 days, and then go to North Korea. After 5 days there I will re-enter China, stay 2 days and depart for London.
In theory this is 3 entries into China, while the visa is only valid for 2. Does the first 'change plane' entry count? Is there a 'transfer' facility at Kunming? Or can I get some form of 'transfer visa' so that the Kunming change of planes does not count towards the two entries? I hold a British passport. Thanks for your help.

If you hold a through ticket and have booked seats on international airliners flying directly through China without leaving the airport, then you do not need a transit visa. But if your ticket is not as I mentioned above, the 5 hours stopover counts one entry.
