Just to make sure, as i have been unable to find any clear information about it elsewhere... So it is definitely possible to go camping without a guide? Also, how difficult is the trekking through the valleys? There doesn't seem to be much information about it. Are there any distinct paths? We want to go to the valleys without all the tour buses. =) And we would be going at the end of this week, October holiday. We heard it will be very cold, probably below 0.

The temp difference is very large there and it will be cold at night. Camping is not allowed in Jiuzhaigou Scenic area and you will be fined if you do that. BTW, the entrance ticket can be used the second time on the second day. You can travel by foot within the area. But the distances between some valleies are rather long and the sceneary is not that beautiful. You can travel by foot in the beautiful parts and tour bus in other parts based on the situation.
