hi there , i applied for 1 month chinese tourist visa last wweek and they told me come back to pick up the passport today 28/09/2010 but i cant take day off from the work as i work as english teacher here in thailand is there any problem if i go to pick up my passport 1 october which is couple days late , i try to call the chinese embassy biut phones are impossible to reach

Hi I think you can not get it on 1 October as it is the China National Holiday. It won't open at that time. You'd better go to pick up it after the national holiday.
