About:Beijing Travel

Can anyone help? I have a friend that would like to travel to the U.S. she has passport and tourist visa. She would be flying out of Guangzhou (CAN)but immgration told her that she would need $4,500 to be able to fly.Is this common practise?

That's the way they do things, your friend can board the plane untill she has the money.
