I will be in korea from September 30th to october 8th for the Chinese Holiday. I am a student, and realized I do not have a double entry visa. Is it possible for me to get an L tourist visa (which is what the embassy here told me to do) over those dates while I'm in Seoul? Let me know. Thanks!

Chinese embassy in Seoul do not accept visa applications from temporary visitors. And all applicants need entrust a travel agency that is appointed by Chinese embassy. But there is a choice for you to apply for an L visa to China. Send all the required documents to US, let your family to apply it for you and send it to you when you are in Korea, but don't mention it to the visa officers.

If there is Temporary Residence Permit on your passport, you can return to China because this permit allows multiple entries during its validity.

Then you have to get a L visa to return to China, I'm afraid that you can't get the visa from Seoul, you can go to Hong Kong and get a L visa to return to Mainland China.
