Hi planning a trip to CHina during Jan, Flying into Beijing and from there taking the train to Harbin, plan to touch base Harbin on the 12th of Jan, few questions your answers would be really helpful

a) Which train should i take from BEIJING TO HARBIN?
b) How many days should i spend in Harbin to see the ice sculptures? Is one full day good enough to see the sculptures?
c) A good hotel to lodge at Harbin and close to the Festival?
d) This festival goes throughout winters right ?
e) Any official website for the Harbin Ice Lantern Festival ? How much do the tickets cost?

1. You can take the overnight trains like Z1,Z15 or T17. They set off at about 21:00 and arrive in harbin at about 8:00 in the morning next day.
2. I suggest you arrange 2 days for the visit.
3. I recommend the Yabuli Dianli Shanzhuang for you. You search it on the internet for some reviews.
4. Yes, the festival happens in winter.
5. Google with the word Harbin Ice Lantern Festival, then you can get what you need.
