We're a party of three adults. We'll be leaving Changsha on Nov 1 late afternoon, and we wish to make a short trip to Huangshan, probably staying there for at least 2 nights.Please adivse the followings:(1) We are thinking of taking a flight from Changsha to Hangzhou on Nov 1, then take a bus from Hangzhou to Huangshan the next day. Is there a more convenient way to travel from Changsha to Huangshan? How much is the cost?(2) Do the hotels at the bottom of Huangshan provide luggage deposit service? If they do, how much is the charge and is it safe to do so?(3) What hotels will you recommend for staying -- at the bottom of the mountain and on the top? Do any of these hotels offer room for 3 persons, e.g. two queen beds or 1 queen and 1 single?(4) Is it better to get a local guide instead of exploring the mountain by ourselves? If yes, what will be the cost? Where can we find a reliabe one?(5) Are the mountain trails well marked, i.e. skill level, distance etc.?(6) Can I find a trail map from any website?

1. It seems the way you mentioned is the best way to get to Huangshan from Changsha. Since there is neither direct train nor direct bus from Changsha to Huangshan.2. Yes, many of the hotels provide luggage storage service, but remember to choose a large hotel even it you don't live in it, since it would be unsafe to store your luggage in some small and unlisenced hotel.3. Tangkou Hotel is a good choice, you can consider it.4. Yes, I think a local guide will be very much helpful especially when you can find an English speaking one. When finding guide, better ask the hotel for help or find at the largest tour agency in there, don't trust the people that promote Huangsha tour to you themselves, some of them might be cheater.5. There are many guide many of Huangshan Scenic Area, you can buy one at the entrance. Or you can ask the hotel staff to help you find one.
