Question

HiI will be in Shanghai in November and wish to travel to Hangzhou on November 2, 2010. I will be living at The Galaxy Hotel on 888 Zhong Shan Xi Road. My question is: which railway station is closest to my hotel? Is it the Shanghai Station or the Shanghai South Station and would someone be able to tell me how long it would take to get to each station from my hotel? Also, are hotels able to book train tickets for me when I get to the hotel or are tickets only sold at the train stations? One final question, can I book train tickets for the same day or would it be wise to book the tickets in advance for fear or tickets running out? Any help is greatly appreciated. Love to you all from Canada :D

The Galaxy Hotel is closer to the Shanghai South Train Station. And it takes about 18mins by taxi to the South Station from hotel. It would be advisable to book the tickets in advance. For the tickets booking, you could ask the hotel reception for help after check in.
