We are staying at the Harmony Hotel and need to get to the port Tianjin on the 4th October. Most of the trains leave from Beijing South, do we need to go there or can we catch one from Beijing main train station.

All of trains do leave from Beijing South Railway Station. If you would like to go to the Port, it is suggested that you take a train from Beijing to Tanggu Railway Station of Tianjina, which is located much closer to the port. On the other hand, you'd better purchase the train tickets in advance in case of the crowded National Holiday.
