About:Hangzhou Travel

Hi there,
My mother and I are planning on doing a Shanghai-Hangzhou-Suzhou week long trip. We do not speak the local tongue, only Cantonese and English. Do you think it is easy to do this trip without a tour? I would prefer to do on our own but do not know how difficult it will be to get around with no familiarity of the area and no knowledge of the language. Also, how safe is it?

Thanks!

It is very safe there, if you don't speak the language, I think you can read the words right? If travel without guide, I think it would not be too hard if you can read the language.
