hi, i plan to go from hualien to taichung, what mode of transporation is easier?

Hi, i plan to go from hualien to taichung, what mode of transporation is easier?If by train, is it true it will take 5-6 hours? does any speed/ bullet train go frm hualien to taichung and how long it will take?  Thanks!

The fastest TAROKO train from Hualien to Taichung will take you about 4 hours.

Seems bus is easier, since train would go to Taipei and then go to Taichung. Yes, it might take 5-6 hours by bus.
