Take subway line1 at Shanghai south Railway station, alight at People's Square Station and change to Line2, get off at Longyang station and change to Maglev to Pudong airport.
Operating time of Maglev train from Longyang to the Airport: 06:45 - 17:00 every 15 minuyes; 17:00 - 21:40 every 20 minutes.

Thank you, Mr.Cai.
I plan to travel back to Shanghai Pudong Airport from Hangzhou on 30Sept, flight at 3.30pm,initial plan is to take a direct express bus,8:30am (abt 3-31/2hrs) to Pudong but worry that there will be traffic jam along highway because of National Day on 1Oct?!!.Alternative way is to go back to Shanghai South railway station by D -Train. What is your opinion on above options?and what is the best way to Pudong Airport if I am to depart from Shanghai South?Forget about maglev train, too much of hassles changing trains!from subway route, I dont see ditrect train to Pudong, that leaves me only express bus and how long is the journey, I worry abt jam!!Thanks

Bullet train is faster but I am not sure if you can get the train ticket the same day you get to the railway station. So, you can buy ticket in Sep 30 for the train. If you get the train ticket, then take bullet train. If not, take the express bus. This is the safest plan. Subway Line 2 goes to Pudong. It takes 3 hours by bus from Hangzhou to Shanghai.

Mr.Cai,
Is the D train from Shanghai South Railway to Hangzhou is also called Bullet Train? Can I at Shanghai South Railway station purchase return ticket for Shanghai-Hangzhou route? I will travel to Hangzhou on 28Sept and return on 30Sept.I have checked the subway route, to reach Pudong Airport,no direct train so I need to take Subway line 1,alight at People's Square station then proceed to line 2 and it will take me to airport, the same way as suggested by you earlier.Thank you,Mr.Cai!
