About:Jiuzhaigou National Park

I may be going to Jiuzhaigou at the end of September or beginning of October 2010. I wish to know if:

1) the road conditions are safe (due to the recent heavy rain and landslide) so that I can travel by bus and back from/to Chengdu
2) is this the best time where I get to see the entire park in full (gold, yellow, orange, pink, red, etc) colours
3) what will the temperature be like during this time of the year

1. In terms of last years' condition, it will be find to take buses, but it is difficult to predict the road condition since rainfal is reported recently.
2. Well, Sep and Oct is the best time to view the scenery of Jiuzgaigou, Enjoy your trip!
3. The weather will be somewhat cool so please take a warm sweater or coat. On the other hand, the temperature difference is also great between day and night.

Mid-late October is when the colours will be in their full glory. Not so much at the start of October.

The public is travelling on the road from Chengdu every day and although there are some delays occasionally, it is still safe. There should be no problem by the end of September.
