Why don't you take ferry from HKIA to Shenzhen Airport, this is the most convenient way to reach there. Anyway, if by coach, it might take around 2 hours to reach there.

Thank you. I know taking the ferry from HKIA to Fuyong is the best route, but my problem is that I arrive in HKIA at 17:00 and the next ferry is at 19:50. Allowing for a 50 minutes travel to Fuyong, followed by immigration and customs and shuttle bus to Shenzhen Airport, my fear is that I will not be able to make it for my 22:20 flight. That is why I asked about the bus as there is a bus every 15 minutes from HKIA to Shenzhen Port Bay.

From Shenzhen Bay Port to Shenzhen Airport costs arond CBY60-70 and takes around 45 minutes by taxi.

I did this trip last week. From HKIA Airport I took the bus to Shenzhen Bay Port (cost $HKD80) and it took 1 hour to get to the border (a bus leaves every 15 minutes). It took me about 45 minutes to get through from the Kong Kong side (very busy on Saturday evening) and 15 minutes through the Shenzhen side. Outside the number 8 bus (Airport Express) cost RMB45 and took 1 hour to arrive at Shenzhen Airport. So, in total it took nearly 3 hours to get from HKIA to Shenzhen Airport via Shenzhen Bay Port at a cost of $HKD80 and RMB45.
