About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

I am going to china , shanghai for a cultural event. I am lebanese and american . I am going to apply for a visa with my lebanese passport because it takes less time and its cheaper. But i also want to visit Hong Kong. I read that americans do not need a passport for a visit to Hong Kong. Can i use my american passport to go to Hong Kong , even thought i entered shanghai with the visa from my lebanese passport. Please let me know

Yes, American passport holders do not need visa to Hong Kong for 90 days. But I am afraid that on your American passport there is no exit record. If there is, it is ok to use it to Hong Kong.

The exit record means the exit record stamped on your passport by immigration officer when you leave a country. Your American passport doesn't have the exit and exit record of China.
